PT-Program Testimonials

Thanks to NPTI! I’ve never felt this invested in by my instructors. I loved our small class dynamics. It was very different than undergrad and grad school and I think it’s why I was more engaged. You’d be shocked to hear this but I’m not normally comfortable raising my hand and asking questions. You always made me feel like my questions weren’t dumb. It’s refreshing to have approachable instructors that genuinely want their students to understand the material. I’m proud I made it through the program...thank you for equipping me! I am sad I won’t have this awesome support system with me week in and week out, but I know if I ever have questions I can still reach out! -Stephanie

The National Personal Training Institute changed my life. The hands-on experience and face-to-face learning environment surpasses any other experience I have had receiving other fitness certifications. The instructors were extremely knowledgeable and personable, and had a passion for helping each student succeed. NPTI was some of the best six months I have ever spent and by far the most beneficial. I now have moved on with my Personal Training career and I am training at my dream job all because of NPTI. The instructors and owners of NPTI were not just teachers, but are friends that I will always have as well. I would, and do recommend getting an education at the National Personal Training Institute whenever I can. NPTI is the place to go to be educated in becoming a Personal Trainer.-Jake

Dear Miles, Bob and Alyssa-Thank you for much for a great six months of classes. I can't thank you enough for everything you've taught me. The week I graduated from NPTI I was contacted by a nearby high school and I got hired on as an assistant track coach. It's really cool to take the information and practical work learned in class and watch it impove my athletes. So thank you all again!-Laura

Hello Miles! We really appreciate how you get your graduates prepared to enter the Personal Training Business. We'd love to give them an opportunity to start their career as a Full Time trainer with great pay and benefits. Just have them email their resume to me.

Thanks, Alexandra Craig-Owner Personal Level Fitness

Miles: I wanted to take a moment to let you know how we as a company continue to be impressed by the quality of the personal trainers who come from your program. It can frequently be a struggle to find good staff members but we know we can rely on the National Personal Training Institute to keep providing excellent personal trainers for our growing network of over 400 personal training studios across the country.-Scott Wendrych, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development, Fitness Together Franchise Corporation.

Your program is wonderful. Best money I ever spent!-Anonymous  Student Survey

Hi, Rich, I hope all is well with you, and everyone at NPTI.  I am doing what I set out to do after graduating from NPTI- train clients in a small space in my house.  I also teach circuit classes at a couple of businesses. (That happened accidently.) I am part-time, and "3Sport Training & Conditioning, LLC," made a profit in last year!   It's been a while since I was in your classroom, but for much of the past 12 hours, when I was not working or exercising, I could not help but think about NPTI. Rich, those case studies were probably the most valuable assignments we were given.  I am so glad that I paid attention to the details, as if they were real clients, and that you gave me feedback.  I have been able to take quite a bit right off of the assignments for my real clients! One of these days, I would like to stop by and visit.  Also, I have recommended NPTI to someone in my triathlon club who is also considering a career change.-Joanne.

Hey Miles: It's Nick and I really wanted to say thank you for the opportunity and the help you gave me while I was enrolled at the National Personal Training Institute. My life has taken a turn in a very positive direction and I feel unbelievably fortunate to have been a part of your program. It still hasn't sunk in yet all of the things I can now accomplish due to the education and practical experience I received from the National Personal Training Institute. I gave you six dedicated months of my time and you gave me a career that I can retire from. My time at the National Personal Training Institute has allowed me to rival the knowledge and capabilities of other personal trainers who have been training for years. I cannot express my gratitude enough for what you, Miriam and Rich have done for me.-Nick

Hey Miriam: I wanted to keep you guys in the loop as to how I am doing....I just got hired today at Bally's fitness here in Baton Rouge. The first interview was awesome.....I was asked to come in for a second interview today and to my surprise there was an exam waiting for me when I got there. It was seven pages long with the first two pages containing pictures of labeling muscles groups and exercises, defining FITTT, concentric, eccentric....etc.......When I saw the test I smiled because everything on the test was basically everything I already learned at NPTI..... Carlos, the head trainer was very impressed.-Jae

Miriam: I just wanted to say thank you! You were more of an inspiration than you think to my education. Your knowledge in the field has helped me a lot. When I did my personal training business plan that you assigned us, I wasn't sure if it was worth more than just being project, but after your comments I really feel like it can be a reality. I've had many teachers and professors in my life but you guys really do seem to care and get involved in our education so much more than any of the others. If you ever need anything from me, please don't hesitate to ask. I want the opportunity to give back to a school that has given so much to me. Thanks again.-Tim

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for providing a quality personal training program in Northeast Ohio. As an active member of the fitness industry for 15 years, I am proud to say the program offered by the National Personal Training Institute is second to none. The educational component of the program offered in the classroom gives students the knowledge and confidence they will need to understand the foundation of personal training. The hands-on component gives National Personal Training Institute students the edge over standard certifications and other training programs. I am proud to be included in your program as a guest speaker. Each time I visit the school I am impressed with the number of students enrolled and equally impressed with their interaction and professionalism. I consider myself one of the fortunate fitness managers in the industry given my opportunities to interact with your students. Each personal trainer that comes out of your program has something special to offer, no two trainers are the same. I look forward to your continued success with the National Personal Training Institute.-Mike Blizzard, Fitness Director, The Mandel Jewish Community Center of Cleveland.

Hey Miles, Miriam and Bob: I just wanted to tell you guys what I've been up to since class ended. Things kind of fell into place for me and I started my own Personal Training Studio. It's called Pursuit Fitness Studio and it's going really well. I just wanted to thank you guys because you gave me skills in this field and in life that I could not have gotten anywhere else. I know that if I would have gotten some little on-line certification this dream would have not come true. I really mean this when I say it; your school has been the best thing I have ever done. I couldn't have asked for better teachers and people. You made my dreams come true and I'm sure you will make a lot of other people's dreams come true as well. Take care.-Shea

Miles: I thought I would take a quick second to tell you how really impressive your school is. Being a personal trainer has always been my life's dream and I know that with the great training and knowledge I am getting from you guys, I am actually going to be able to make that dream a reality. I'm so excited and I can never thank you guys enough. I'm so glad I attended the National Personal Training Institute instead of doing some ridiculous on-line certification. -Ken

Miriam: I just wanted to say thank you for everything and to let you know that I owe my current job to the email job listings that you guys regularly send out. My experience at NPTI changed my life and I'll never forget the knowledge I acquired in your program. Thanks again!-Jacob

Hey Miles! I hope you and Miriam are doing well! I wanted to reach out to you in case any of your current or past students are looking for employment.  A few months ago I became the Fitness Manager at Equinox on 17th street in New York City.  I am in charge of hiring and training and we are currently looking for a few new trainers to add to our staff.  I have been at this location for over two years and it's a fantastic environment.  I had such a great experience with NPTI so any referrals you can send my way would be greatly appreciated.-Corie

Miriam: Just wanted to say thanks for everything and for helping me get this job as a trainer at Equinox in Manhattan! I learned so much from NPTI that I feel ahead of everybody here! I absolutely love Equinox btw! I also just got promoted to tier 2 trainer. I took the fast track and tested out of tier 1 which consisted of everything I learned at NPTI so it was easy. I already have members coming up to me asking if I am the new trainer and how my workouts are so I'm pretty excited to start getting clients!!-Brandon

Hello Miles:  I wanted to touch base and give you an update on my fitness career. I'm currently employed by the Akron General Wellness Center in Fairlawn and its going well. It's truly a state of the art facility and a great place to work. I used to pass it on my way to class at the National Personal Training Institute each day and think to myself, 'I'd love to get a job there as a personal trainer'. I read the bios of all the personal trainers working there and since they all had a four year college degree in some type of exercise or sports conditioning, I naturally thought they'd never hire me since I don't have a degree. I gave it a try anyhow and sent in my resume in May and after some perseverance, I was hired and I love it!!! I'm sure I couldn't have done it without the experience and education you, Rich and Miriam provided. Thanks so much!!!-Cindy

Hey Miriam! I just wanted to thank you and Bob for all your help.  As you know I'm working as a trainer at Urban Active in Grove City. A few days ago I was trying to think of a way to get more people to notice me while I'm on the floor. In the evenings, everybody crowds around the cardio equipment so I took a client through your treadmill workout during those busy hours.  My client loved it and now everybody is talking about the "new trainer and her crazy workouts" so it worked! I've gotten three new clients since then and I can't thank you guys enough for all the tools you have given me!  Tell everyone hello. Take care.-Amber

Miles, Miriam, and Rich: I just wanted to send a thank you and let you know what a great education and eye opening experience it was to spend six months with you all. Previous to my time at the National Personal Training Institute I thought I knew a lot about exercise and related topics but I quickly found out there are many variables and considerations in developing successful exercise programs that I would not have known about without the education from the National Personal Training Institute. Rich was simply an outstanding instructor and both Rich and Miriam led by example and demonstrated an extreme passion in their teaching. As an update, I have started my fitness career as an independent contractor at the brand new Anytime Fitness in Solon and the new Strongstyle Martial Arts Fitness Center in Independence. I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks again for the education!-Cal

Miriam: Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the school, your teaching and all you've done and continue to do for us. So grateful. I took a big chance packing up and coming here and I'm glad I did. I will keep in touch and let you know where I apply and how it goes. Thanks again.-Lipp

Hey guys!! Just wanted to let you know (and feel free to share) that I have officially taught my own group class at the Fitness Edge. I am currently in charge of the evening class! I want to thank you, NPTI, for giving me the knowledge and confidence to achieve this accomplishment. -Jodi

Hello NPTI:  I wanted to give you all an update on what I've been doing. Soon after graduating I started doing a little volunteer work with an aboriginal youth program on the Canadian side of the Buffalo border. The volunteer work turned into a full time position as I was hired at the Fort Erie Native Friendship Center as the Wasa-Nabin Youth Coordinator to develop youth programs. The first program was a week long fitness boot camp which the kids loved. We now have a weekly physical development program here at the facility as well as one-on-one at-home training. There is also a health coordinator wanting to work with me to develop a healthy workforce development component.  The best news is that I have been approached by the Canadian Aboriginal Sport Circle to become a national sports facilitator. It is due to the teachings of the National Personal Training Institute course that this door of opportunity has opened for me. I would highly recommend this course for anyone who wants to live a long, strong healthy lifestyle and assist others in achieving the same goal. Many Thanks!-Annette

Bob: Just a quick follow up. Jodi has been doing a great job in her internship and I'm very much impressed with your program - she has been the most well-prepared intern I've ever had. Much more than the ones that come from a four-year college program. I would love to have more people from your program intern here, there are job opportunities if they work well.-Nate Traucht, Owner, The Fitness Edge

Miriam: Long time no talk!! How has everything been? I hope everything is going well. I wanted to email you and Bob to thank you two for all the help you gave me while I was enrolled. I am now coming up on a year and a half working as a personal trainer at Lifetime Fitness and I am also a full time student at University of Cincinnati where I am studying dietetics. The short time I lived in Columbus was made all the better by getting to learn from you two. I really hope to see you guys soon!!!-Jimmy

Hello Guys: Miss all of you. I am working at Willoughby Fitworks and have been there for about five weeks. I have to say that I train very different from all the other trainers in that I work more with the Bosu, stability ball, bands and my client's own body weight and less with machines. I found that my clients love it. I'm also the only trainer that will spend extra time stretching out (time permitting) my clients. I left Fitworks tonight thinking I truly love doing this! I can't thank you guys enough for everything. I still refer back to my notebooks for some of my clients- I keep everything from class handy. You can spot a NPTI student a mile away- we totally stand out!-Wendi

Miriam: Things are going really well. Ed (Owner, Kings Gym) and Barb (head trainer) are just slamming me with new clients all the time. It's great!! Ed calls me his star and Barb (who is by far the busiest trainer here) says she can't believe the quality of my education as a personal trainer. I guess most new personal trainers never had the opportunity to learn all that I have from you. I can't thank you enough for that. I feel so very confident with my training technique and exercise selection for each of my client's different needs. Pretty cool! -Michele
